Julie asked:

I am looking into taking out a new contract phone, but am struggling to find out which mobile phones have the option to password protect text messages and photos. As far as I am aware, Samsung are the only phones with this option. Does anyone know of any other phones that have this option? Thank you.

Should prepaid cell phones in USA be sold without performing an identity check?

Harsh asked:

Liquor and cigarettes are not sold to anyone without a driver’s license or state ID card? Isn’t it ridiculous that anyone can buy a prepaid cell phone and use it to commit crimes. I just saw on AMW that a murder victim had called prepaid cell phone thrice on the day he was killed. Police couldn’t find out the owner of the cell phone because it had a prepaid card. This is a threat to the national security as well if terrorists are able to buy such disposable phones.

Are there any solar cell phone and iPod chargers out there that are compatible with ALL cell phones?

P8ntBallerDs asked:

Most solar cell phone and iPod chargers that i’ve found are only compatible with Motorola or other expensive phones. I have a Sprint Sanyo cell phone. And since I am interested in purchasing one, I would like it to work with my products. Also, I’m on a budget, but please leave me whatever suggestions you have. Thanks!

Best (or cheapest) place to buy mobile phones in Singapore?

totobear asked:

I’m planning to buy a new hand-held phone and bring it back to my country. I’ve heard that SIm LIm and Lucky Plaza offer cell phones at cheap prices. However, I also read horror stories of people getting ripped off at these places. Are there alternatives where one can find bargain prices for mobile phones? What about Mustafa, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, etc? Where do locals go when they want to buy brand new unlocked mobile phones? Or should I just risk buying a new phone at Sim Lim or Lucky Plaza?

How much is it to switch cell phones during a contract with all of the fees?

Aly asked:

I purchased a cell phone from the Verizon network in June 2008 and it really isn’t working out for me. I want to purchase a new phone and I have looked on eBay, Amazon (etc.) and I feel the prices are too high. I was wondering if it would just be less money to just purchase a phone at the actual Verizon store with the fees of switching phones in the middle of a contract.
